The following pictures are of  22  year old airmen Ted Winnen stationed at Eielson Air Force base in Alaska. He was out deer hunting in Prince William Sound. While out deer hunting He came across the grizzly pictured below It was over one thousand two hundred pounds (est.), 10'" high at the shoulder, 

Stories circulating the internet describe this Bear as having attacked and eaten parts of an Alaskan Game Warden are not true. We had had that description of the story on this webpage for about 5 years  when we were contacted by Bob and Mark of Anchorage, Alaska's KWHL Radio Station 106.6 giving us the true story of this hunt.

So, Now that we have corrected the story on the site, we need to give you a word of caution: When fishing from shore in Prince William Sound "Watch Your Back!"
